Japanese Ninjas Institute ("we", "us", "our") operates this website and platform for Japanese language coaching, at japanese-ninjas.com and its associated student/community services. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
What We Collect
- When you sign up or enroll: name, phone number, email, city/state/address, and — for enrolled students — attendance, test scores, fee/payment records, and course progress.
- When you use the community features: photos or videos you choose to post, likes, comments, and your profile picture.
- When you just browse the site: a day-scoped, anonymized visitor identifier and the pages you visit, so we can see aggregate traffic. We don't use tracking cookies for anonymous visitors, and this data is never linked to who you are unless you're logged in.
- When you contact us or enroll via a demo/lead form: whatever you submit in that form, including through Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Lead Ads if that's how you reached us.
How We Use It
- To run your course — scheduling, attendance, study material, fees, and certificates.
- To contact you about classes, admissions, or your enquiry — primarily via WhatsApp and phone.
- To moderate community posts before they're visible to others.
- To understand which pages and marketing campaigns are actually working.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
Who We Share It With
- Meta (WhatsApp Business, Facebook/Instagram Lead Ads) — to send you class reminders and updates over WhatsApp, and to receive your details if you enquired through a Meta ad.
- We do not share your data with any other third party for their own marketing purposes.
Your Choices
- You can update your own profile details, and (for community posts) delete anything you've posted, any time you're logged in.
- You can ask us to correct or delete your data by emailing japaneseninjas27@gmail.com — we'll respond within a reasonable time, subject to any records we're legally required to keep (e.g. payment records).
- You can stop receiving WhatsApp messages by telling us directly.
Security
Passwords are never stored in plain text — they're one-way encrypted, so even we can't look up what your password is; resetting is always the way back in. Payment and fee data is only visible to authorized staff.
Children
Our courses are open to students of all ages, including minors enrolling with a parent or guardian's involvement in the admissions process. We don't knowingly collect data from a child without that context.
